The sitting stage is one of my absolute favorites! I mean, I love a sweet smelling, squishy newborn, but come on, sitters have so much personality and they smile so big even when you just say their name.
Being a Pinehurst studio photographer gives me the flexibility to do sessions in the studio when weather conditions and lighting are not ideal. Typically, I shoot outdoors an hour after sunrise or an hour and a half before sunset. Babies are usually super happy first thing in the morning, but it can be cold outside. It’s a lot warmer closer to sunset, but I like to refer to that time of day as “bewitching hour”. I know my kids were a hot mess that time at day. Too close to dinner and bedtime. The studio is the perfect answer!
I was so honored to photograph Mr. E again. You can see his newborn session HERE. His momma is an amazing photographer, but doesn’t do studio work, so she asked me to take some sitter portraits. The other nice thing about the studio is that the focus is all on the baby. I always do two set-ups with sitters and usually two “outfit” changes. E’s second outfit was his birthday suit!
His mom has been doing portraits of him every month with his teddy bear. Such a great way to document growth! That was the portrait that was the MOST important to her. E made it easy. Lots of smiles and giggle and his rolls. Oh my goodness how I love them!
Thank you for bringing E by the studio. He is an absolute dream!
Do you have a sitter? It’s a fabulous stage to document!
