Maternity Portrait Ideas for the Studio

Maternity portraits can be done in my studio or at an outdoor location.  When it’s mom only, I always recommend the studio. I have many maternity portrait ideas for studio sessions. I have several backdrops and many dresses that you have fun access to in the studio.  All you need to do is bring your bump;)

This dress (one from my studio closet) looks amazing on this momma-to-be.  It shows off her bump perfectly. And the train adds a bit of glamour, right? This soon to be new mom came ready to go.  She had done an amazing job on her hair and make-up. Some of my clients opt to have their hair and make-up done professionally.  It’s completely up to you! I recommend heavier make-up for the studio.

I chose two backdrops for the session.  White and a dark charcoal.  She really pops on both! Angles are important when it comes to pregnant moms.  I usually use a step ladder to get the perfect angle. I want my maternity sessions to be fun! I want you to be at ease and comfortable.  A lot of pregnant women are uneasy being photographed because their body is a bit different than they are used to. You have nothing to worry about.  My job is making your look and feel amazing. I want to capture that pregnancy glow.

I have a lot of maternity portrait ideas, but I’m always excited to hear yours, too.

Are you expecting? My Maternity session fee is waived when booked with a newborn session.

I would love to talk to you and help you book your session!
