Miss M is one! Time to celebrate with one of my favorite things, a Cake Smash.  She gave me sweet smiles throughout the session.  And her blue eyes are just gorgeous!  Mom and Dad weren’t sure how she would do with the cake, but she seemed to love the taste. She even wanted to feed dad some.

Happy 1st Birthday, M!

This gorgeous couple is expecting their first baby, but it’s actually their second baby because they have a fur baby named Rambo. When mom-to-be contacted me she asked if Rambo could be part of the session.  My answer, “Of course!” A fur baby is a big part of a family.  They are always welcome to be part of a session.

I’m looking forward to meeting their little guy in the near future and watching him grow over the next year. There is nothing better than capturing two people bring a little one into the world. And thank you Rambo for looking my way even if I wasn’t a good duck squeaker!

This boy has been a joy to photograph over the past year! I have done five sessions with his family (maternity, newborn, sitting up, Fall Mini & cake smash) since they moved to the area a little over a year ago. When you see a client that much over a year they start to feel like family. I was so sad when they told me today that they are moving to be closer to family in a few weeks. Although I won’t be able to watch this guy grow into a toddler, I feel honored to have captured his first year!

You might remember his newborn photos. We used his parents’ wedding cake stand as a prop. So, mom brought it today to use as a cake stand again! It was perfect for his snow themed session. He is “snow happy to be one!” And I am “snow” happy to have documented his first year for his mom and dad.

Wishing you all the best with your move and new home!

I know there is not a huge baby boom of boys, but it sure feels that way in my Pinehurst studio! I have not had a baby girl in the studio since September. Crazy, right? Miss K broke that streak. She was such a joy to photograph. I even got some awesome picture of her and big brother (who is 20 months), but I’m saving those for mom and dad.

Mom wanted headbands, so that’s what we did!  I think I used 6 different ones throughout Miss K’s session. Neutral with touches of pink, so girly and sweet. Thank you for stopping by the studio today and letting me snuggle a little girl.

Sweet baby M! Long fingers and two dimples…pure perfection. I did mom’s maternity session a few months ago and couldn’t wait for him to arrive. He is super strong.  Already lifting his head.

Isn’t he the cutest in the potato sack? And the awake shot?  Such stunning eyes.

Welcome to the world, Baby M!
