A toddler, a newborn and a dog – no they didn’t walk into a bar! Being DC Newborn Photographer – I walked into their house.
Many photographers would run the other direction! I love it.
Bring me all the chaos. I love the unpredictability and the action. I just love it all!
Chaos is My Thing
DC Newborn Photography lets me capture REAL life. Snacks may come out. The baby might need to eat. The dog may need treats to stay put – or maybe the dog won’t leave (that’s what happened in the this session). Charlee (the pup) wanted to be in every shot!
This toddler needed some snacks, a train, some construction vehicles, and a balloon. And that’s ok! These are the things he’s into right now.
Typically a newborn leads a newborn session, but when there’s a toddler in the house they sort of take over. We grab pics with the toddler when we can. I let them come and go. When they go, I get pictures of the newborn, with mom or dad. Believe me, it works!
I sometimes think flexibility should be my middle name. And I know the sessions seem like a total whirlwind to mom and dad – but I promise I will get what I need and and you will be overjoyed in the end!
And sometimes my favorite shots are the ones where the toddler is doing their thing. I mean playing with a truck on the floor while mom and dad snuggle their new addition – how perfect is that?
Interested in a newborn session with me? I’d love to send you some info and get to know you better!
