Getting on My Soapbox (or desk)
I’m going to get on my soapbox for a minute, so bear with me!
Who has ever lost all the pictures on their computer, external hard drive or phone?
Every few months I have a past client reach out to me because they’ve lost their pictures from a session they did with me a few years back. And I always ask if they saved them in two places or printed any of them – and, unfortunately, a lot of the time the answer is “no”.
Sometimes I still have their images and sometimes I don’t. And it breaks my heart to tell them that.
Phones and computers and hard drives don’t last forever.
Now think about this for a minute…
You booked the photo session and made an investment in using a photographer you love. You’ve taken time and care in choosing what you and your family are going to wear. You took time out for your photo session. So, don’t stop there! Take the time to print your photos!
Photos that you love deserve to be printed and enjoyed every day!
And there are so many benefits to having family photos displayed in your home. Take a look at my blog post on family photos and children’s self-esteem if you need a good reason.
The Good News
Here’s the good news if I’m your photographer… you get a product credit with every session!
So, I sort-of force you to print your photos 😉
And there are so many options! Albums, prints, framed prints, canvases…just to name a few.
One of my favorite products is the PRINT PACK. You get twenty-four 5×7 prints from your session! Giving you the ability to frame some or put them in an album or even give them as gifts.
Do you want to go BIG? Choose framed prints or canvases to adorn your walls. Or choose smaller framed prints and make a gallery wall that you can add to year after year.
Think of the Future
Preserve your legacy in prints, so one day in the future, your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren can marvel at pictures of you, because I promise you they won’t have that old computer or phone to look at them!
