Feeling Lucky
13? An unlucky number? Not in my book! My family and I have had 13 wonderful years in Pinehurst, North Carolina. We’ve raised our three boys here (they were just 11, 8 and 7 when we arrived). We lived (and somehow thrived) through my husband’s deployment here. And for nearly 10 of these 13 years, you’ve supported my photography business in this special community. Today, it is with a grateful heart that I share that our time in Pinehurst is coming to a close, and we will settle full-time in Washington, D.C. this spring.
Transition
This move makes a lot of sense for my family. We’ve been spending more and more time in Washington, D.C. in recent months. We’ve had an apartment there since my husband retired from the Army and accepted a job at a hospital in Alexandria, Virginia. We’re looking forward to being closer to our sons, who are young adults now and forging their own paths. When they decided not to come back home to Pinehurst this summer, we knew it was time. It also feels a bit full circle for me, as I grew up, got married and had all three of my boys in D.C. I’ll, in a sense, be returning to my roots, full time.
While I’m excited about what’s ahead, it’s, of course, bittersweet. I am so thankful to the people of Pinehurst for supporting my small business over the years. From my small in-home studio to my studio on Midland Road to my complete 180 into in-home lifestyle sessions – you’ve followed my business and helped it grow through all of its evolutions. And I’m filled with gratitude and Pinehurst and Moore County will always hold a special place in my heart.
Connecting with small businesses in our area – Lavender, Belli Bambini and C. Cups– has been a joy and such a pivotal part of my business and time here in the Pines. Please continue to support these local gems – I know I’ll come back to visit and do the same. And there are so many business that I’ve worked with over the years…Elysian Skin and Beauty Studio, Chelsea Regan, Bloom Precision Aesthetics, Pinehurst Picnic Co. and Susanna Ryan Storks just to name a few!
Grand Finale Sessions
UPDATE!!! These sessions are fully booked. Finally, as I prepare to say goodbye (although I prefer “see you later”) to this special community, I will be offering a VERY limited number of Fall Family Sessions at Soirée on South on September 25 as my Grand Finale.
And of course, if your travels take you to D.C., please reach out and let me know. I’d love to hear from you and answer any questions or give recommendations for the magical city I’m returning to full time. Bust most of all, don’t be a stranger! I’d love to hear from you!
