Watching a family grow is a major perk of my job! Capturing each new family member, such a joy! The first time I photographed this family as a Sanford newborn photographer was when they had just become a family of three…mom, dad, and Baby N. About a year and a half later, Baby L came along. The, Miss R arrived about two years later. 3+ years of capturing this expanding family!
Clients often want similar set-ups for siblings. Although, I don’t always have the exact same props and wraps, I can usually do very similar set-ups! The furry layer I used in the boys’ sessions had been damaged (a poop stain I just couldn’t get out!), so I switched that out for a burlap layer. Each crate/bowl was different, but with the same wrap and flooring, I was able to create a very similar look! This particular set-up was important to mom and dad. They have a canvas of each baby with this set-up. They like the continuity!
Neutral colors are easy to use in boy or girl sessions. They create the perfect backdrop. Color is easily added with a headband, hat, or wrap. Miss R’s nursery is teal, so the teal wrap coordinates perfectly! Did you know I provide all the wraps, headbands, hats, and props you see in my images? Well, I do! I send my clients a styling questionnaire before their session to help me pull items and create the set-ups. As a Sanford newborn photographer, it is important that I incorporate colors that work with my clients’ homes and nurseries.
