Newborn Studio Session | NPS Photography

A studio newborn session is a family affair! I want everyone to be involved…mom, dad and especially big brother or sister. Mom and dad aren’t the only ones excited about this new addition to their family. This big brother was particularly excited! He was beaming between showing me his cool tattoos (temporary of course!) and his cool shoes (which we took off for the session because bare feet are so much better in studio sessions).  Little sister was tiny and he was very gentle with her.

Smiles on a newborn are hard to catch as any new parent can tell you.  By the time you get that cell phone out, the smile is gone! Same thing happens in my studio.  It’s pretty much luck if I catch a small smile and all the planets have aligned if I catch a big grin. So that’s just what must have happened for me to capture this HUGE smile when she was in mom’s arms. And I can’t tell you my joy when I went back through to edit my images and saw it.

I have recently switched to in person ordering session at my Pinehurst studio. And I must say I am loving it! Not only do I get to help my clients order exactly what they want, but I get to see their reaction when they see their images for the first time. Seeing mom see the image of her holding her smiling days old newborn was priceless! By doing ordering this way, my clients get their products and images faster. There is no going back and forth via email or phone.  This mom had her images that day and she will have her gorgeous canvas, prints and birth announcements in the next week or so.

Welcome to the world, Miss R! I can’t wait to capture the rest of your first year.
