Newborn Smiles – Fort Bragg Newborn Photographer

There isn’t much better than sweet baby smiles. Baby G gave me LOTS! I wish I knew what he was dreaming about. As Fort Bragg newborn photographer, I can only guess!

Baby G’s mom contacted me many months ago to set-up their maternity and newborn session. (You can see their gorgeous maternity session here.) Mom choose earthy tones for his session, browns, greens and rust orange. She also brought this darling bear hat on Etsy from a local knitter Phyl Phil Knits. It fit his newborn head perfectly (not always the case with newborn items). And let’s talk about these smiles. I think he smiled in almost every single pose. I managed to capture a few, too! But the highlight of the session wasn’t documented.

Baby G was sound asleep when he arrived, so we started right in with naked, squishy baby pictures.  He ROCKED it! We finished that part up quickly and I asked mom and dad if they were ok keeping him naked for parent shots. They agreed and we joked about “accidents”.  No issues in dad’s poses. About 30 seconds after he got in mom arms…pee!  All down the front of her. About a minute later…poop! It happens and mom was a great sport! As a Fort Bragg newborn photographer, it’s a risk I take to “get the shot”. Thankfully mom and dad thought it was hilarious.

I don’t have a lot of information about baby accidents in my Newborn Prep Guide, but I might need to add a little information on it.  Because poop happens!

NPS Photography is currently booking newborns due between July and November. I offer Maternity Session, too.
