Family Included! | Newborn Baby Photography

You’re pregnant.  You might be new to the area or this might be your first baby. Or maybe newborn baby portraits have been something you wished you had done with an older child and you really want to do them this time around. So, what’s next? What do you do?

You can ask friends. You can ask in a local baby shop. You can check for information at your OB/GYN. You can search for “newborn baby photography near me”. You will need to check out their website and maybe social media to get a real idea of the photographer’s work.

Look through the photographers’ portraits and portfolios. Do they make you ooh and aah? Do they make your heart skip a beat? Are they the type of newborn baby portraits you see on your walls and in your home? If they are, contact the photographer!

When a prospective client contacts me, I always have some basic questions so that I can make sure I am sending you the right information! I want you to have all the information about my sessions and my pricing so you can make the most informed decision. After you look over my information, we set up a time to chat! Yes – I want to talk to you! I want to answer all your questions. After all, you are trusting your your days old baby to me and I want you to know me!

Once you book a session, I send you a general confirmation (unless the baby is already here!), an agreement and an invoice for your session fee. And the best part, attached to your email will be NPS Photography’s Newborn Session Guide! Filled with tips for your session, as well as, stunning newborn baby portraits.

After the baby arrives, you contact me and we set-up the actual session date and time.  I once again send you a confirmation and give you some tips for the morning and a Styling Questionnaire. In the questionnaire, you will let me know your color and prop preferences, as well as, which portraits are most important to you! The family below was most interested in family portraits and I made sure they had a lot to choose from. If you choose newborn baby photography with the whole family, we start with sibling, parent and family portraits. This way, big sister(s) or brother(s) don’t have to stay at the studio during the session and the session can be all about the baby!

I look forward to chatting with you soon!
