Location thoughts debunked!
Location, location, location! Yep, this is 100% true if you are looking for a place to live or opening up a retail space, but when it come to locations for your photo session – it’s not that important.
I know some photographers will tell you this is blasphemous – I’m here to assure you it’s not!
Iconic Locations in Any Area
We all like “pretty” locations – flowers or lots of green or maybe something historic or iconic in our photos. I frequently have clients that are moving and want to remember where they once lived with something “iconic” in their photos – like the Washington Monument in DC.
And if that’s the reason for your session, than location is 100% important!
The PERFECT spot!
But, if you really want the perfect location where you are most comfortable…choose an in-home session! That’s right, you don’t have to go anywhere! WHat could be better than that?
Light is SO Important!
And guess what? Your home has great light! All I need is a window – bonus for lots of windows and a front door, but one window works just fine!
Often, I have clients who say, “Oh! We have a great backyard!” And that’s amazing and if the light cooperates we can absolutely get a few shots outside.
So, when it comes to locations, trust me! Your home will be perfect!
