Early morning sessions…7:30 or 8am this time of year. Getting everyone up and out the door looking picture perfect can be a challenge unless you have small children! As a family photographer in Pinehurst, I know how challenging an early morning session can be, but I also know that your toddler will be happiest then!
We met on a weekend morning at 8am at one of my favorite Pinehurst locations. The morning light is perfect here and the brick paths framed by greenery make the ideal location for a family session. These girls were so sweet. Little sister took a few minutes to warm up to me, but then she rocked the smiles! Big smiles that showed off her little teeth. Such a sweet stage to capture and remember. Big sister was such a help, too. Don’t you just love their seersucker dresses, too? A gorgeous, classic summer look. And the bare feet…my favorite for non-walkers!
Summer days are long and really limit the hours I can shoot outdoors. The sun is high and strong for most of the day and it’s light out from 6am to 8:30pm. It is also hot in the summer. And did I mention the humidity? So sticky and humid. As a family photographer in Pinehurst and surrounding areas I want perfect conditions for your session. So, the options are early morning or late. My late day sessions are usually at 7pm. These early and late times give us ideal light and cooler temps. Late day sessions are also often rescheduled due to pop-up thunderstorms! Something I really can’t control.
