Chelsea Regan with Easy Glam Tips for Busy Moms!

My name is Chelsea Regan and I own a luxury on site makeup + hair company that comes right to you to give you all your glam dreams for your maternity, newborn, family, mommy + me photoshoot, date night or whatever the occasion may be. I love helping women feel confident as we enhance your already natural beauty.

While I would love to be able to personally glam each and every one of you, here are some tips to help you get the most out of your photoshoot or daily makeup routine. I know that walking into a makeup store can be overwhelming. Add that to your daily responsibilities and trying to keep your tiny human alive and it would be enough to overwhelm even all our perfect superhero moms (I am not a parent but all my friends with kids say they still have no idea what they are doing so I am pretty sure you are all superheroes in my eyes.)

5 Important Skin Care Tips for Busy Moms

  1. SKINCARE + SUNSCREEN: Ladies this is so important. Your makeup will only look as good as the skin underneath.I would recommend everyone to be on at least a simple skin care routine of exfoliating, cleansing, and moisturizing. If you want a more in depth routine with Anti Aging, I would recommend going to see Victoria Hatfield at Integrated Dermatology. She can help address all your skincare goals/concerns as well as recommend different med spa treatments that may interest you.

  1. Multi Use Products: You don’t need a bag of overflowing makeup to get a fresh face. I love using products for multi uses to save money and simplify my routine. For example you can use your blush or bronzer as eyeshadow. One eyeshadow palette could be used for eyeshadow, blush, liner, brow powder etc. The brand MORPHE at Ulta has some great affordable options.

  1. Setting Sprays: I personally think setting sprays are the most underrated makeup product. They keep you hydrated, help melt your makeup together for a skin like finish, and keep your makeup in place all day. The Morphe Continuous Spray and Urban Decay All Nighter are my favorite.

  1. Less is More: When applying makeup you want to start with minimal product in layers and then add as needed. This helps keep your look natural and makes everything easier to blend.

  1. Hire a Professional: If you want to take all the guesswork out of making sure you look like your best self for family photos I would love to pamper you and take all the stress away from getting ready. I come right to you and make sure to listen to exactly what you are going for! Contact me here. Contact DC area make-up artists here, here and here.

High End vs Drugstore Products for Easy Glam for Busy Moms

Drugstore and high-end makeup both have their place in a beauty routine—and the best part is, you don’t have to choose just one. Drugstore makeup has come a long way, offering impressive quality, trendy shades, and budget-friendly prices that make it easy to experiment without the guilt. On the flip side, high-end makeup often delivers luxe packaging, longer-lasting formulas, and a curated feel that can make your daily routine feel like a little bit of self-care. Shop Chelsea’s recs here.

I do offer private makeup/ lessons if you want a more in depth tutorial! We shop together based on your budget and come up with a routine that works with your busy schedule. You can also schedule me for your session with NPS Photography!  Inquire at chelsearegan.com. Becky at Take Care in Georgetown also offers assistance with make-up. If you haven’t visited Take Care for a facial or your make-up needs, I highly recommend it!

Let’s be friends! Find me on instagram here. I share lots of tutorials, product reviews, etc!
