Baby Photography

Why are babies ages 6-8 months so deliciously perfect? They can do so much, but for the most part keep still! Baby photography is one of my favorite things.

Baby sessions can occur anytime in the first year – newborn, sitter, one year and any other milestone you want to capture. After a newborn session, the next milestone is sitting! Sometimes with sitting comes crawling, but if we catch them just in time, they aren’t on the go yet!

Here are the poses I LOVE to get in a Sitter Session.

  • on their back touching their toes
  • looking over their shoulder with a bare bum (or if mom and dad prefer a diaper cover)
  • up on their hands and knees (sometime I have to be FAST with this shot because they crawl right to me!)
  • close-up on their back (I try and capture different expressions)

Miss G had no problem with any of these portraits. She is a HAPPY baby and loved interacting and smiling for me. I recommend bringing two outfits for a Sitter Session. Mom brought the adorable black jumper and tights with the matching gold leather shoes and headband. I provided the floral headband wrap she sat on. I have a number of larger headbands that are perfect for sitters and one year olds. Don’t feel like you have to buy one for one portrait session!

Miss G’s big brother was a A Watch Me Grow baby and I’m thrilled that Miss G is one, too! I have photographed them since they were in their mom’s belly. so, technically this is her third session with me!

Are you looking for a someone who does baby photography near you? I’d love to talk to you and set-up a session!
