So, why should you book a newborn session before your baby arrives? Here are the top four reasons!

1. Planning – I’m type A and a total planner. I like to check things off my list. So, do it early and check that newborn session off your list! One less thing to deal with as you near your due date. I recommend reaching out as early as your second trimester.

2. Guarantee a session with your first choice! Most newborn photographers limit the number of sessions they do each month (I certainly do!). If you have your heart set on a certain photographer, booking early guarantees you get the photographer of your dreams to capture your new little one and your growing family.

3. Take the stress out! Once your baby arrives, you will most likely be tired and at times a bit overwhelmed. And hearing “I’m fully booked.” from a photographer or two is not what you want to hear! Make the whole experience stress free and book before your baby arrives!

4. Time to plan financially! Babies are expensive – between all the gear and the hospital stay! Adding in the last minute expense of a newborn session might not be an option for your family, or might make you settle for a photographer that you don’t love.
