A Few Things to Know About Me – a DC Family Photographer
A few things you should know about me.
I love decor. Seriously, I could spend hours looking through decorating magazines and blogs. I love a house tour or decorators show house – almost as much as I love being a DC Family Photographer!
I Swoon Over Decor
It probably started when I was young. My mom used to take my sister and me to The Decorators Show House in Washington, DC every year. My eyes would get big as we walked through the most beautiful rooms – kids’ rooms and nurseries were always my favorites.
So when you get to photograph a family and mom is an interior designer, well, you can imagine how excited I was!
And I was once again totally enamored with the little girl’s room. It was charming with such thoughtful, sweet details. The sweetest…a fairy door! And the fairy decorates it and brings them things. Come on! How incredibly special is that? It currently has a flower box on the door, but I was told the fairy decorates for Christmas and Valentine’s Day, too.
Jumping on Beds is OK
The other thing you should know is that if you book a Lifestyle Family Session with me most likely your kids are going to jump on a bed or two. Why? Because I get the BEST smiles and giggles.
I will ask you before I ask the kids to jump. But I promise you that the jumping pictures will be your favorites! And I know this because every family I have done this with tells me they’re their favorites!
A little secret…my boys were not allowed to jump on our beds, but they were allowed to jump on the beds at hotels. It’s the first thing they’d do when we entered a hotel room! I’m sure the hotels and other guests loved us!
