Sweet Miss T came to see me in the studio for her Sitter Session. This Pinehurst baby photographer loves doing simple sessions with the focus on the baby.
Miss T’s sessions was supposed be outdoors, but with cloudy skies and crazy humidity we moved it into the studio. I’m so glad we did! Her mom brought this gorgeous vintage white dress for the session. Such a classic, timeless look. My white and cream studio backdrops are perfect for putting the spotlight on baby and there sweet expressions. Miss T just smiled through her whole session. Showing off her two first teeth. And she crawled! Mom and dad got a major workout moving her back on the backdrop. She wanted to explore!
As a Pinehurst Baby Photographer, I recommend bringing two outfits for your Sitter Session. I often get asked what type of outfit to bring. Here’s what I recommend:
Simple outfits in colors that compliment your baby’s skin and eyes. (No crazy prints that might take away from the baby)
Something that covers their diaper. There’s nothing worse than a darling image with a printed diaper with the green line showing!
One piece outfits for baby boys works well. Bubbles, John Johns, overalls, shortalls. Jeans and pants tend to be tight around their tummies and make sitting hard.
Leave the shoes at home! Baby shoes are adorable, but with a sitting baby all we see is the soles. Cute baby feet and toes look a lot better!
Accessorize! A hat, bonnet or headband can add a lot to an outfit.
Bare bum shots are fun, too! If you are game, I am completely willing to get a sweet bare bum shot, too.
Have fun with it! Choose timeless outfits that you love! I have even done a few sessions where clients bring outfits from when they were a baby.
